National Direct Primary Care Day is November 1st!

My friend Doug Farrago, MD reminded me that November 1, 2026 is National DPC Day. He has a post about it on his website here. This isn’t just election season, it is also health plan season. Remind your friends as they contemplate whether to keep playing a low deductible insurance game that they can’t really win that DPC likely an affordable alternative that allows them to avoid playing that losing game. Pairing DPC with a health sharing ministry or catastrophic insurance is how most patients are able to find health care autonomy and decision making freedom.

Does your PCP answer ALL of your clinical questions?

Can he answer the important question “how much does it cost?”

Is every condition viewed as acute on chronic until proven otherwise?

Are you able to send your PCP a direct email or text?

If you can say “yes” to all the above, then as Jeff Foxworthy might say “You might be a DPC patient.”
