Research Study “Perspectives on Genetic Counseling in Primary Care Settings”

Hello everyone, I was recently contacted by a graduate student and asked if I could help her obtain survey data about some direct primary care practices. If you have your own DPC practice and have a few minutes to help her out please see the information below. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete.

You are invited to participate in a research study titled “Perspectives on Genetic Counseling in

Primary Care Settings” being conducted by Genevieve Dallmeyer, a current graduate student at

the Long Island University Post Genetic Counseling Graduate Program.

This study explores the current views of practicing direct primary care providers and clinically

practicing genetic counselors on the practice of genetic counseling and testing in primary care

settings. The results of this study will illustrate the opportunities for connection between primary

care providers and genetic counselors and illuminate current attitudes on genetic testing and

counseling in primary care.

All clinically practicing genetic counselors and practicing direct primary care physicians in

North America will be eligible to participate in this study. If you decide to participate, you will

be asked to take an online survey. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete

and the responses are anonymous.

If you would like to participate in the survey, you can access it via this link:
